DSW does use real promo codes, so it’s worth checking before you pay. Most of them go to DSW VIP members, which is free to join. They usually come by email or show up in your DSW account, and they tend to be a percent off your order or off a group of brands.
You enter a code in your bag at checkout under Promo code. In stores, VIP members can give their phone number or show the app at the register. Some brands, often big names like Nike, can be left out of a sitewide code, so read the fine print before you count on the discount.
If a coupon site shows a code that looks too good, like 50% off everything, it’s probably old or fake. Check your VIP emails and DSW’s own promotions page first.
DSW hasn’t announced its 2026 Black Friday dates yet. Black Friday itself is Friday, Nov 27, 2026, and Cyber Monday is Nov 30.
Last year DSW ran a VIP “First Dibs” Black Friday sale. VIP members got 30% off almost everything, regular and clearance shoes plus accessories, with a code at checkout and free shipping. It was live by Nov 22 and ran through Nov 30, 2025, in stores and online. Then on Cyber Monday, Dec 1, DSW had another 30% off code with free shipping for VIP members.
If DSW follows the same pattern, the best deal will go to VIP members first, about a week before Black Friday. That’s a pattern, not a promise, so join VIP now and watch your email from mid-November.
DSW VIP is free, and it’s how you get most of the codes. Here’s how it works, based on DSW’s own rewards page:
You move up a tier by spending more in a calendar year. If you’re close to the next level, a big Black Friday order can push you over.
| Free shipping | On anything with no minimum for Club and Gold VIP members |
| Returns window | Most unworn, undamaged items within 60 days of purchase |
| In-store returns | Free, with an instant refund when you bring the item and receipt |
| Mail returns | Prepaid label costs $8.50, taken out of your refund |
Shoes need to be unworn to come back, so try them on at home on a clean floor. If you’re buying gifts, keep the receipt and the box. Policies can change, so check DSW’s returns page before you order.
